What’s better than a dog that does what you ask?

A dog that wants to do what you ask!

Sierra Canine Training LLC is a woman owned and run business. We have high standards and strive to produce happy, healthy dogs. We prioritize each individual dogs genetic, mental and physical needs for the best results. Our goal as a team is to give our clients the education, communication and handling skills they need to upkeep and expand on their dogs training for years to come. We find great joy when our clients take their knowledge and apply it to something else like teaching their dogs tricks, finding sporting events to partake in or competing in obedience competitions. Our programs are not intended for anyone looking for a quick fix with their dog but who want to understand their dog and form a healthier more reliable relationship with them.  All of our programs are heavily reinforcement based as we would rather teach with food than with force. It is important to us that our dogs be eager and willing to participate consistently in training activities before any form of leash pressure or E-collar pressure is layered into the equation to help generalize and proof their behaviors.

Courtney Dill

Courtney is the owner and founder of Sierra Canine Training LLC. After years mentoring under reputable trainers while simultaneously working for a popular training franchise Courtney was ready for the freedom to practice more motivational methods and expand her services to help more people and their pets. She has always worked closely with animals and more specifically dogs from raising puppies for service dog organizations, to becoming a dog walker and then working her way up at many high end doggy daycare and boarding facilities. She started Sierra Canine Training LLC at the beginning of 2019 when she moved form California to Nevada. Dog training is how she makes her living but it is also a lifestyle for her and something she gets constant joy out of.  Courtney has been competing in French Ring for 6 years now and is currently raising her second competition dog. Courtney credits the level of training she has been able to learn and apply through her own dogs for the success she has with pet dogs. On her down time she can be found exploring new places, working toward her own training goals and trying new things with her dogs. She attends seminars regularly held by fellow colleagues in the canine industry to stay sharp on skills and expand her knowledge. She is eager to educate her clients on teaching techniques, proper handling skills and dog behavior so that they can live the best life with their pet.
